Carla Skinner has spent the majority of her life in Arizona but was privileged to experience travels throughout her childhood and adult life in both the US and other countries. She spent a short period of time living in New York City, where she worked in the healthcare field, taking care of elderly and vulnerable adults.
When she came back to Tucson, in 2008 she made the decision to go into the legal field and started off as a file clerk at a small civil litigation firm which also specialized in landlord/tenant law. There she progressed quickly and became a legal assistant and a skip tracer. For approximately five years, she specialized in commercial litigation but in 2012 made the leap into elder law which she immediately loved. Being in this form of law, prompted the same emotions she encountered as a healthcare worker while living in New York, and allowed her to protect and serve all those that she once took care of.
Carla loves spending time with her husband, her two children, and her family of pets (two dogs, three cats, and on occasion a hamster or a fish). She enjoys her weekends going to church, spending time in fellowship with her church community, and shopping!
